[Aluminum Prices Continue Weak Consolidation, Secondary Aluminum Prices Remain in Decline] Today, aluminum prices fell again, with SMM A00 aluminum prices dropping 130 yuan/mt to 20,660 yuan/mt compared to the previous trading day, and secondary aluminum prices generally declined. Domestic SMM ADC12 prices decreased 100 yuan/mt from last Friday to a range of 21,000-21,200 yuan/mt; in the import market, overseas ADC12 quotes remained at over $2,500/mt (metal content), while recent domestic price trends were under pressure, coupled with a decline in the RMB exchange rate, leading to an expansion of immediate losses for imported ADC12 to over 500 yuan/mt. Today, aluminum prices continued to fall, with many secondary aluminum smelters lowering their quotes by 100 yuan/mt, while some held steady and observed. Insufficient demand and weakening costs maintained a more likely to fall than rise pattern for short-term secondary aluminum alloy prices.

Fed to Keep Large Banks' Capital Levels Unchanged, Postpones Stress Test Reforms Until 2027
The US Fed has announced that it will maintain the capital levels of large banks unchanged during the upcoming stress test cycle (corresponding to the 2026 cycle). At the same time, the US Fed is planning multidimensional reforms to this annual test, aiming to enhance its transparency. The US Fed's Vice Chair for Supervision, Bowman, revealed that adjustments to the stress capital buffer requirements for large banks will be postponed until 2027. This move is intended to provide the US Fed with sufficient time to evaluate potential flaws that may be exposed in its testing models when assessing banks' financial conditions under simulated economic downturn scenarios.
